49 results about "Vacuum truck" patented technology

A vacuum truck or vacuum tanker is a tank truck that has a pump and a tank. The pump is designed to pneumatically suck liquids, sludges, slurries, or the like from a location (often underground) into the tank of the truck. The objective is to enable transport of the liquid material via road to another location. Vacuum trucks transport the collected material to a treatment or disposal site, for example a sewage treatment plant.

Rotatable wheel box service panel door and equalizer

Systems, devices, apparatus, and methods of locking and unlocking a door that is slidable by articulating wheels in tracks, over an entry port to a storm water structure. Locking the door can be accomplished by rotating bolt heads that are attached to cams. Rotating the heads causes cams to press the door against the tracks. Sealing strips can be compressed between door edges and the track to prevent water from passing around the door. A vacuum truck can remove water and debris from the vault / structure. Other versions allow doors to move downward to allow water to overflow the door. The door can slide upward so water can flow underneath. A door in door version has a secondary door slide up and down in tracks in a main door.

Material separation system for vacuum truck

A vacuum truck has a cylindrical tank which can be pivoted to discharge through a rear door is arranged for transporting collected solids while liquid is extracted and returned. Two tank extraction outlets in the top wall at the front and rear are connected to the vacuum pump and each includes a float valve ball contained in a receptacle above the top wall as to allow the tank to be filled to the top wall. For separating the materials into liquid which is pumped away and solids for transportation, the tank includes a generally upstanding dividing wall across the tank having a bottom wall portion, which can pivot away as the tank is tilted, and has a top edge defining a weir over which liquid can flow into the liquid collection area, and an upper screening section defined by a support screen and a hanging chain curtain in front of the screen.

Box service panel door and equalizer

Systems, devices, apparatus, and methods of locking and unlocking a door that is slidable through tracks, over an entry port to a storm water type vault or storm water structure. Locking the door in place can be accomplished by rotating upwardly protruding bolt type heads that are fixably attached to cams. Rotating the bolt type heads causes the cams to press the door against one side of the tracks. An elongated sealing strip can be compressed between the door edges and the one side of the track and seal and prevent water from passing about the sides of the door. Alternatively, removable wedges can be used to compress door edges in place. Furthermore, a hinged pressure relief door can be attached over a small opening in the slidable door. Opening the small pressure relief door by an elongated tool allows for water on both sides of the sliding door to equalize. Once water has equalized on both sides the tool can be used to rotate the bolt type heads on the top of the slidable door and make it easier to next pull the sliding door from the tracks. The vault / structure can be sealed so that a vacuum truck can then remove water and debris contents inside of the vault / structure at the beginning of the treatment service.

Nutrient removal filtration system and method

Systems, devices, and methods for providing nutrient removals in an up flow filtration storm water system for treating water to very high clean levels using filtration media. A filtration media supported by a screen above an angled floor in a vault allows for incoming storm water to pass into a void space above the angled floor into the screen and filtration media and then out an outlet to the vault. The filtration media can include recyclable and / or natural particles. Layers of river rocks can be placed on top of and below the filtration media. Water sprayers can further liquefy sediment and debris that fills the void space between the angled floor and the bottom of the screen. The captured debris can slide down the angled floor, where a vacuum hose from an above ground vacuum truck can remove the debris and sediment. The long lasting filtration media can be cleaned by being backwashed.

In-ground stormwater collection and pretreatment filtration systems

A stormwater management inlet prefilter for system use in green infrastructure which typically includes either biofiltration (e.g. bioretention, tree planters, gravel wetlands) or infiltration (e.g. leech fields, dry wells, infiltration trenches and basins) that both provide recharge of stormwater runoff to groundwater aquifers and treated discharge to surface waters. The system can be used as an edge of curb system, a drop inlet, or inline. The system can be used both in retrofit or new installations and extends the operating life and reduces the maintenance burden of stormwater management systems by filtering out trash and debris at the inlet. The system enables the simplified maintenance of stormwater management systems at the inlet in an accessible location with no special equipment required. Installation is simple and comparable to common catch basins and grates. Preferably, the system is made of pre-cast concrete, HDPE, and stainless steel and is resistant to rust and rot from corrosive winter runoff. No special equipment necessary and maintenance is simple and utilizes standard vacuum trucks for catch basin cleaning by use of a pressure washer and vacuum equipment.
