Abstract

The present invention discloses a tunnel establishing and releasing method in the evolution network architecture. The said evolution network architecture is composed of some logical entities: an evolution base station eNode B, a control face server CPS, a mobile management entity MME, and a user face entity UPE. The method includes: when a user equipment UE is in the network attachment process or entering an activation state from an idle state, any one side of the eNode B and UPE obtains the address information of the other side; then their own address information will be sent to each other through the signaling interface, thus building the tunnel. when the UE has finished the network attachment process or entering an idle state from an activation state,any one side of the eNode B and UPE inform the other party to release the tunnel through the signaling interface between them, the other party releases the related resources after it receives the notice. Application of the present invention, can effectively establish and release the data transmission tunnel to ensure the correct transmission of the business data.
