The electron gun assembly comprises: a cathode for transmitting electrons; control and screen electrodes forming a triode with the cathode; first focusing and anode electrodes disposed adjacent to the screen electrode to form prefocussing and main focusing lens; and a second focusing electrode which is positioned in the prefocus lens area and forms a double-crossover point on the electro beam along a vertical direction.
