Abstract

The invention discloses a torque limiter which is arranged on a power transfer path between a first rotor and a second rotor. The torque limiter comprises a hub arranged on the second rotor, a press plate connected with the second rotor in a driving manner and an elastic compaction structure. The press plate has a driving surface. The hub has a driven surface. The driving surface is provided thereon with an upper limiting seat and the driven surface is provided thereon with a lower limiting seat correspondingly. A safety groove for completely containing a ball is provided at least one side ofeach limiting seat. The ball is embedded between the upper limiting seat and the lower limiting seat to transfer the torque between the press plate and the hub. When the transferred torque between the press plate and the hub is beyond the detachment torque, the ball leaves the limiting seat and falls into the safety groove at one side of the lower limiting seat, without the contact with the upperlimiting seat. The invention has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, repeated use, and high stability and controllability in detaching from the torque.
