The composition of the calcium carbide dust briquette is formed by calcium carbide dust and coke powder, wherein, the volume percentage of the calcium carbide dust is between 50 and 70 percent, the volume percentage of the coke powder is between 50 and 30 percent; during the production, the water with 25 to 35 percent of the total volume of the calcium carbide dust and the coke powder is fully mixed with the calcium carbide dust, then is placed for a period of time to ensure that the gas produced by the water and calcium carbide is completely discharged, and then is added with the coke powder to evenly mix to make a compression molding to dry. The test shows that the average heat calorie of the briquette is 3786 kilocalories which are 30 to 40 percent higher than the prior briquette. The combustion time of the briquette doubles the prior briquette with the same volume.
