Problems solved by technology
In addition, since the adsorption of ions to the electrode occurs from the inlet, the ion adsorption capacity of the electrode gradually decreases from the inlet side.
Therefore, when using a liquid flow type capacitor to remove ions, it may be difficult to fully exert the ability of the electrode

Abstract
The invention provides a ion concentration adjusting method and a ion concentration adjusting device. In a container (10), a first electrode (11) containing a first conductive material capable of adsorbing an ion and a second electrode (12) containing a second conductive material capable of adsorbing an ion are immersed in a liquid (an aqueous solution (13)) containing at least one ion other than a hydrogen ion and a hydroxide ion. A voltage is applied across the first electrode (11) and the second electrode (12) so that the first electrode (11) serves as an anode. Upon voltage application, an anion in the aqueous solution (13) is adsorbed onto the first electrode (11), and a cation is adsorbed onto the second electrode (12). In this ion adsorption step, the aqueous solution (13) is treated by a batch method. On the assumption that there is no voltage drop by the liquid (aqueous solution (13)), the voltage applied is higher than the voltage at which the solvent in the liquid is electrolyzed.
Description
Ion concentration adjustment method and ion concentration adjustment device technical field The invention relates to an ion concentration adjustment method and an ion concentration adjustment device. Background technique Conventionally, as a method for removing ions in an aqueous solution, a method using an ion exchange resin and a method using a liquid flow type capacitor have been proposed. When using a flow-through capacitor (Flow-Through Capacitor), ions are removed by adsorbing ions on the electrodes. For example, in US Pat. Devices using liquid flow capacitors are described in JP-A-6-325983 and JP-A-2000-91169. In the liquid flow capacitor described above, the liquid to be treated is continuously supplied from the inlet to the capacitor in which the electrodes are arranged, and the treated liquid is continuously discharged from the discharge port. Therefore, the closer to the inlet, the higher the ion concentration of the treated liquid, and the closer to the ou...
