Abstract

The invention discloses a volume control method, which comprises the following steps: (1) inputting audio signals; (2) setting a linear region and a nonlinear region of the audio signals ; (3) judging whether the audio signals are in the linear region or not; (4) dealing with the audio signals according to the linear transformation if the audio signals are in the linear region, or dealing with the audio signals according to the non-linear transformation. Besides, the linear region and the nonlinear region of the audio signals which are arranged in the step (2) can be adjusted by overall monitoring the audio signals. The invention also comprises the device which is used for realizing the volume control method, which comprises an input module, a monitoring and adjusting module in the linearregion and the nonlinear region of the audio signals; a judgment module, a linear transformation module, a nonlinear transformation module and an output module. The method and the device of the invention reach the function of real-time limiting the volume range by the nonlinear transformation part, adjust the range of linear region and the nonlinear region by overall monitoring the signals, thereby achieving the effect of reducing distortion by monitoring.
