Abstract

The present invention provides a hard surface finishing machine tool (1) which is used for fine finishing the hard surface of a workpiece (2) that is provided with a molding profile to be finished. The machine tool is provided with at least one cutter (4) which is installed on at least one cutter spindle (3) and a rotation platform (5) that is provided with a rotation axis (6) for perpendicular positioning. A workpiece principal axis (7) supporting the workpiece (2) is provided on the rotation platform (5). In increase the flexibility of the machine tool, the invention prescribes that the rotation platform (5) is provided with a first rotation position (I) and the workpiece (2) can be processed by the cutter (4) at this position. The rotation platform (5) is provided with a second rotation position (II), and at this position the workpiece can be taken out from or clamped on the workpiece principal axis (7) on the first loading and unloading station (8).
