Abstract
The invention discloses a method for enhancing the activity of microorganism in kitchen waste compost by using sodium acetate in the technical field of organic waste treatment. An analog kitchen waste is composed of potatoes, rice, carrots, leaves, meat, soybeans and inoculated soil. Under a certain ventilation condition, a composting system is kept under an indoor temperature condition to carry out analog kitchen waste composting treatment. In the fifth and the ninth days after composting, proper amounts of samples are selected respectively, an organic acid and salt or an alkali are added into the samples to compare the samples, and the analysis result shows that the addition of the organic acid has significant effect on suppressing the activity of the microorganism. However, the addition of the sodium acetate serves as a buffer solution to control the pH value in a range suitable for the movement of the microorganism in the composting process. The method can remarkably improve the activity of the microorganism, and is beneficial to accelerating the composting process, shortening the composting period and achieving the amount reduction of organic matters in the composting process.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of organic waste treatment, and relates to a method for promoting microbial activity in kitchen waste composting by using sodium acetate. technical background [0002] In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards and the increase of the global population, the output of kitchen waste has shown an obvious growth trend. According to statistics, at present, the annual municipal solid waste generated in the world is about 50 billion tons, of which kitchen waste accounts for about 10%-20%. Since kitchen waste is easy to ferment, deteriorate, and rot, it not only produces a large amount of toxins, emits foul-smelling gases, but also pollutes water bodies and the atmosphere. If it cannot be effectively treated or disposed of, kitchen waste will become a major hazard to the environment. [0003] At present, the main technologies for dealing with kitchen waste are: direct discharge, which causes...
