Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, the above-mentioned known automatic cutting technology has the following disadvantages to be overcome: 1. The preview image needs to be scanned first, which takes a lot of scanning time and is cumbersome to operate
2. Image analysis of the preview image requires a large amount of calculation and high performance, which is usually performed on the computer side, but it is difficult for general portable equipment to achieve

Embodiment Construction

[0054] Figure 2A It is a schematic diagram of a scanner capable of automatically cutting the scanned image boundary of a manuscript according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 2B is a schematic diagram of the scanner in another viewing angle. In this embodiment, a paper-fed scanner 200 is taken as an example. The paper-fed scanner 200 includes a roller 202 , a scanning module 204 , a signal processing module 206 , a paper sensor 208 and a scanning window 210 .

[0055] In this embodiment, the wheel axis of the roller 202 is parallel to a horizontal direction X, and is used to press the manuscript 212 on the scanning window 210 and feed the manuscript 212 along a vertical direction Y. According to the present invention in the sheet-fed scanner 200, the roller 202 has at least one first ribbon region 222 and a second ribbon region 224 disposed on the rolling surface of the roller 202, and only two ribbons are shown in the figure zones, but those skilled i...

Abstract

A method for automatically cutting the scanning image boundary of manuscripts and a scanner thereof are disclosed. the method includes: providing a manuscript hold-down, which is provided with at least one first ribbon area and one second ribbon area arranged parallel to the direction of the scan line, wherein, the length of the first and second ribbon area exceeds the length of the manuscript parallel to the direction of the scan line; scanning the manuscript and the manuscript hold-down, and obtaining at least one scan line data, wherein, the first scan line data and second scan line data include the images of the manuscript and the corresponding ribbon area; analyzing the scan line data in order to locate the left boundary and right boundary of the manuscript at a direction parallel to the scan line. The invention almost eliminates the possibility that the manuscript boundary and the manuscript hold-down have similar color, and can achieve a more precise boundary cutting effect. Because the scanner does not required to perform pre-scanning to the manuscript before practical scanning, the scanner occupies very small arithmetic resource of the system during the automatic cutting, and is more adaptable to the portable scanning device.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of document or image scanning devices, and in particular relates to a method capable of automatically cutting manuscripts to scan image boundaries and a scanner using the method. Background technique [0002] Before the scanner starts formal scanning, if the user is required to set the image boundary to be scanned, this action is called cropping (Crop), and if the scanner automatically recognizes the scanned image boundary, it is called automatic cropping (Auto-Crop). [0003] In the prior art, the background color of the document cover used to cover the manuscript is all white or all black, and its purpose is to make the background color contrast with the color of the manuscript during image analysis, so as to judge the quality of the manuscript. Scan image boundaries. Please refer to figure 1 , which is a schematic diagram of pre-scanning manuscripts for automatic cutting in the prior art. The general ...
