The invention aims at overcoming the problem that the prior art can not be applied on the bus line because of the failure of distinguishing temporary faults from permanent faults. The invention provides the technical proposal that the intelligent type auto recloser which is applicable for the bus line with the voltage grade of 220 kV and more than 220 kV is finished by making use of the following steps: 1. when the bus line is broken down, three phases of all circuit breakers that are connected with the bus line are tripped off through the bus-line protecting action so as to facilitate the fast arc extinction and ensure the temporary faults to be eliminated; 2. the bus-line differential protection, the zero-sequence current and the phase voltage are utilized to obtain fault types; 3. a relevant power supply is closed so as to distinguish fault properties (temporary or permanent); 4. the corresponding operations are carried out according to fault properties.
