According to the actual structure of the lightningarrester, the equivalent model of the thermal circuit of the lightning arrester is calculated. The power loss of the zinc oxide resistor chip is output from the circuit model and inputted into the thermal circuit model. The real-time distribution of the zinc oxide lightning arrester is calculated according to the thermal circuit model. The temperature characteristics of zinc oxide resistor sheetscan be calculated through modeling. Compared with the traditional test method, the method greatly shortens the research period and saves the research cost, and has higher accuracy than the traditional curve fitting method. The transient process of current and temperature changing with time can be obtained by using the electrothermal coupling method, taking into account the interaction between temperature and current.
