There is provided an optical beam pointing system for setting the irradiation position for radiation, which is capable of automatically performing positional adjustments of visible light beams with respect to an aiming center without requiring any maintenance worker. In the system, pointers 2L and 2R are disposed on opposite sides of the irradiation center C and opposed each other, each pointer including a light-projecting portion 3L or 3R for projecting a beam BL or BR aimed at the irradiation center, a light-receiving portion 4L or 4R for generating a detection signal DL or DR in accordance with a receiving position at which the beam is received from its opposing pointer, a control portion 7L or 7R having previously stored therein, as a reference value SL or SR, a value for the detection signal to be generated by the light-receiving portion which has received the beam projected from the opposing pointer and passing through the irradiation center as aimed, the control portion generating a correction signal CL or CR for correcting a projection angle of the opposing pointer when a difference between the reference value and a value for the detection signal received by the light-receiving portion falls outside a tolerable range, a transmitting portion 8L or 8R and a receiving portion 9L or 9R for transmitting / receiving the correction signal to / from the opposing pointer, and an actuator 10L or 10R for correcting a projection angle in accordance with the received correction signal.
