Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for supporting multi-cluster network communication of TIPC. The method comprises the following steps: dividing a plurality of clusters according to the actual function of each cluster in the same physical network; combining switching nodes in each cluster to obtain a switching cluster; receiving a to-be-transmitted data packet by switching nodes of a source cluster when transmitting data among the clusters; analyzing the header of the data packet to obtain the destination node number of the data packet; carrying out unicast lookup or multicast lookup by using the destination node number as the lookup keyword to obtain the port number of a cluster switching node; and modifying the header of the data packet according to the port number, and transmitting the data packet to the switching node of a destination node. The device comprises a switching cluster acquisition unit, a destination node number acquisition unit, a port number acquisition unit and a data transmission unit.
