[0064] 25 parts by weight of epoxy resin (base resin: o-cresol novolac resin, curing agent: phenol novolak resin) (resin binder) are dissolved in 80 to 120 parts by weight of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) (organic solvent) . To the resulting mixture were added 1 part by weight of an oil-in dispersant (anionic surfactant; polycarboxylate, "Homogenol L-18" manufactured by Kao Corporation) and 1 part by weight of an anti-sagging agent ("Talen" manufactured by Kyoeisha Chemical Co., Ltd.), thereby preparing a resin solution.

[0065]After adding 100 parts by weight of natural flake graphite (average particle diameter: 55 μm (55%), 10 μm (5%), 3 μm (40%)) to the resin solution, the resulting mixture was sufficiently stirred using a general-purpose stirrer. The air was removed by centrifugation to obtain slurries with different viscosities.

Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for efficiently producing a separator material for solid polymer fuel cells, which enables to obtain a uniformly thin separator material with good quality characteristics for miniaturizing fuel cells. This method for producing a separator material for solid polymer fuel cells is characterized by sequentially performing the following steps 1-3. Step 1: The slurry having a viscosity of 100-1500 mPa s is prepared by dispersing 100 parts by weight of a carbonaceous powder in a resin solution which is obtained by dissolving 10-35 parts by weight of a resin binder and 0.1-10 parts by weight of a dispersing agent in an organic solvent. Step 2: A green sheet is prepared by immersing an organic material sheet having an opening area ratio (R) of through holes of 25-85% in the slurry for applying the slurry over the both sides of the organic material sheet, and then drying the resulting sheet for fixing the slurry thereon. Step 3: The green sheet is cut into a predetermined shape, and one cut sheet or a laminate of two or more cut sheets are subjected to hot pressing.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a separator material for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell. Background technique [0002] Fuel cells directly convert the chemical energy of fuel into electrical energy with high conversion efficiency. For example, a polymer electrolyte fuel cell can output high power at a relatively low temperature, and therefore, a polymer electrolyte fuel cell is expected to be a small portable power source such as a car power source. [0003] A polymer electrolyte fuel cell includes a stack formed by stacking single cells, and two current collectors arranged outside the stack, and each single cell includes an electrolyte membrane, a catalytic electrode, a separator, etc., wherein the electrolyte membrane It is composed of a polymer ion exchange membrane (such as a fluorine resin ion exchange membrane with sulfonic acid groups, etc.); the catalytic electrode is loaded with a catalyst such as platinum, and is arrange...
