Abstract

The invention relates to a tilt fiber bragg grating (TFBG) liquid level change measuring instrument which comprises a light source, a light-way divider, a TFBG, a spectrum analyzer, a photoelectric detector and a single mode fiber for connecting, wherein the TFBG is prepared by using a phase mask side radiation technology adopting the steps of tiling a template and writing the template into a hydrogen-carrying single mode fiber through ultraviolet excimer laser; the TFBG is arranged on the liquid level of a measured container, and the upper end of the TFBG is required to extend out of the liquid level of the measured container. A TFBG sensor is used as a sensing element by the fiber liquid level measuring instrument which combines the advantages of a conventional fiber bragg grating and the intrinsic properties of the TFBG into a whole and has the advantages of low cost, simple manufacture process, high precision, good repetitiveness, and the like; and in addition, the TFBG liquid level change measuring instrument has high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high measurement precision, interference resistance, easy reuse and suitability for direct and continuous measurements in liquid environment with various refractive indexes.
