Abstract

The invention discloses a device and a method for adjusting an internal space ring and an external space ring of a pair of face-to-face mounted bearings with angle contact. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly calibrating the relation of an axial pretightening force and a space ring friction force; installing a pair of bearings and an internal space ring on a bearing base when calibrating, pressing a pretightening force balance weight block on the upper bearing, and measuring the friction force of the internal space rings corresponding to the pretightening force by a digital-display push-pull gauge; then adding an external space ring, pressing the two times the weight of the pretightening force balance weight block on the bearing, measuring the friction force of the internal space ring by using the digital-display push-pull gauge and judging whether the thickness of the internal and the external space rings is correct through comparing the friction force of the internal space rings with the calibrated friction force. In order to simulate the temperature of the work condition, the device heats the bearings by a heating device.
