[0087] figure 1 is a block diagram of the communication device in the first embodiment of the present invention. figure 1 The transmitter shown includes an oscillator 101 , a control signal generator 102 , an intermittent frequency multiplier 103 , a filter 104 , a branch circuit 105 , a control component 106 and an output port 107 . The oscillator 101 and the intermittent frequency multiplier 103 are active circuits composed of active elements.

[0088] Hereafter, active elements will be discussed as FETs (Field Effect Transistors). The frequency multiplier of the intermittent frequency multiplier is n (n: a positive integer). In the following description, the desired frequency of the output signal of the oscillator is f0, and the intermittent frequency multiplier is a frequency multiplier by 2 (dual). The signal waveform of the control signal output from the control signal generator 102 is arbitrary, but will be discussed with a pulse waveform hereinafter.

Abstract

Provided is a signal modulation circuit which can control a transmission power even when performing a level adjustment of continuous signals from an oscillation circuit. A pulse generation circuit as an example of the signal modulation circuit includes: an oscillation circuit; a control signal generation circuit; a multiplication circuit; a filter; and a control unit. The oscillation circuit and the multiplication circuit are active circuits formed by active elements. The oscillation circuit outputs continuous signals, which are inputted to the multiplication circuit. The multiplication circuit is intermittently operated by the control signal outputted from the control signal generation circuit, thereby generating a pulse signal. The power level is easily adjusted by the signal from the control unit.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a pulse generator, a signal modulator and a transmitter in wireless communication such as a frequency modulation circuit, in particular to a signal modulator and a transmitter with the function of adjusting output power. Background technique [0002] Pulse communication technology exists as a system of communication technology. In pulse communication technology, system performance depends on how the pulse signal is generated. In order to make the pulse signal a signal having only any desired frequency band components, there are methods of limiting the frequency band of the pulse signal with a filter and extracting a specific frequency component, a method of intermittently operating the oscillator with a pulse-shaped control signal, and inputting a pulse-shaped signal to A method of mixing and chopping (curtain) a carrier signal to produce a pulsed signal. [0003] For pulse generators, required properties include shor...
