Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for providing a network user identifier in a backbone network. The method comprises that: an information acquisition server acquires the login and logoff information of a network user from an authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) server in real time; a distributed query server acquires the login and logoff information of the network user from the information acquisition server by using an information acquisition client in real time, and updates local IP-UserID corresponding information; and the query server receives a user identifier query request with an IP address, and returns the user identifier corresponding to the IP address according to the local IP-UserID corresponding information. The method and the system of the inventionhave the advantages of realizing the real-time acquisition and resolution of remote authentication dial in user service (RADIUS) message data packets in a RADIUS system of a telecom operator, and supporting the mass query requests of the RADIUS acquisition client.
