Abstract

The invention relates to a natural gas energy recovery process by use of pressure difference (ranging from 0.4MPa to 25MPa) between a main line and a branch line between a natural gas delivery main line pipe and a branch line pipe. By adopting the process, pressure difference energy can be recovered, and natural gas getting in and out of processing equipment conforms to the existing pressure requirement for natural gas delivery. The natural gas pressure difference energy recovery process can be used in two ways as follows: power is utilized for power generation, that is, the gas pressure energy is converted into mechanical energy and output for applying work by a direct mode; and the gas with pressure is expanded by virtue of pressure energy and refrigerated to produce liquefied natural gas.
