Abstract

The invention discloses an electrochemical appliance used for energy conservation and emission reduction of an automobile combustion engine and a manufacturing method thereof. The electrochemical appliance comprises an electrolytic bath, a water supply system, a gas scrubbing and purifying system and a control system, wherein the electrode of the electrolytic bath is connected with an automobile generator through the control system; current generated by the automobile generator is regulated by the control system and then is transmitted to the electrolytic bath; the electrolytic bath carries out electrolysis to generate hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas; and the mixed gas passes through the gas scrubbing and purifying system and then is transmitted to the air suction inlet of an automobile engine to be subjected to mixed combustion together with oil. The manufacturing method is characterized in that the electrode material is prepared by coating an active catalyst substance on cheap metal; the liquid automatic cycle process is adopted to solve the problem of replenishing liquid; a low cost mode of adding a small fan is adopted to effectively solve the dissipation problem of the electrolyticbath; and a high-efficient purification device is adopted to solve the gas purification problem.
