Abstract

A work line module is a function-integrated finishing machine which is a combination of work machines (103-106) for machining workpieces (124) and non-work facilities (107, 108) for performing operations other than the machining of the workpieces (124). One work machine (106) among the work machines (103-106) comprises a measuring function for the workpieces (124) in addition to a machining function for the workpieces (124). The work line module comprises a conveying device (109) using robots (185-187) for conveying the workpieces (124) between the work machines (103-106) and between the work machines (103-106) and the non-work facilities (107, 108), and the work liner module performs a series of operations for the workpieces (124). The configuration allows the work line module to be easily adaptable to an increase and decrease in needs for the amount of production.
