The test method comprises the following steps: obtaining volume flow rate, temperature and pressure of injected gas and self-produced gas of the oil well under a standard state, temperature and pressure of mixed gas in the oil well, and size of an oil sleeve of the oil well through test; analyzing gas components to obtain molecular weight of the injected gas, the self-produced gas of the oil well and the mixed gas in the oil well; obtaining mass flow rate of the injected gas and the self-produced gas of the oil well under the standard state according to the volume flow rate, the temperature, the pressure and the molecular weight of the injected gas and the self-produced gas of the oil well under the standard state; obtaining volume of the mixed gas in the oil well under the standard sate according to the mass flow rate of the injected gas and the self-produced gas of the oil well under the standard state as well as the temperature, the pressure and the molecular weight of the mixed gas in the oil well under the standard state; and obtaining depth of the working fluid level of the oil well according to the volume of the mixed gas in the oil well under the standard state and the size of the oil sleeve of the oil well.
