[0012] figure 1 The operation of a part of an aircraft 20 is shown schematically, having a part 22 or other part being moved or moved, said part 22 being any type of flap. The electromechanical actuator 24 drives the positioning element 26 to move said positioning element 26 . As shown, the electromechanical actuator may comprise an electric motor 23 together with a rotary-linear gear transmission 21 that moves the positioning element 26 . As is known, there is lubricant in the housing 27 of the electromechanical actuator. A control device or controller 28 for the electromechanical actuator controls the operation of the motor to achieve precise positioning of the member 22 .

[0013] as in figure 2 As shown in , temperature feedback signal 30 is provided to temperature module 32 . If the temperature seen in the temperature module 32 is lower than the threshold temperature, the temperature module 32 is turned "on" and the consumption current I 损耗 to the control, which sen...

Abstract

The invention provides a minimum temperature control for an electromechanical actuator. A component intended for use in very low temperature situations has an electromechanical actuator with a control for an electric motor. The control receives a temperature signal indicative of a temperature being experienced by the electromechanical actuator. The control is operable to produce a current signal sent to the electric motor which will generate heat without significant torque. A method of operating the electromechanical actuator is also disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of controls for electromechanical actuators which ensure that the viscosity of the lubricant contained does not become too high due to very low temperatures. Background technique [0002] Electromechanical actuators are employed to animate or move any number of components in an aircraft. For example, flaps such as stabilizers, elevators, rudders, etc. are precisely positioned by electromechanical actuators. Electromechanical actuators typically include drive motors that drive positioning elements, which in turn move the position of aircraft components. Lubricants are often included in electromechanical actuators to ensure smooth running or operation of the actuator. [0003] One challenge of using electromechanical actuators in aircraft in particular is that they are exposed to extremely low temperatures. Furthermore, during the long-range cruise phase of flight, the actuators may be used sparingly, so that the act...
