Embodiment Construction

[0052] Specific embodiments of the present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0053] Figure 5 Shown is the specific flow chart of the correction algorithm in the present invention.

[0054] First, for the fisheye image with radial distortion, the contour of the distorted line is extracted by boundary detection, and two distorted lines with a large span are selected as the template image for correction.

[0055] Secondly, take 4 groups of point pairs on the two distortion straight lines, such as Figure 6 shown. When taking points, ensure that the grayscale threshold of each sample point is the smallest in the surrounding 8 neighborhoods and less than 40 (using 8-bit grayscale); at the same time, it is also necessary to ensure that the distance difference between each pair of sampling points and the distortion center is less than 0.3 pixel width. The specific operation steps are as follows:

Abstract

The invention relates to a fisheye image correction method based on distorted straight slope calculation, belonging to the field of digital image processing. According to the fisheye image correction method, the actual slope of a distorted straight line is calculated according to a projective invariance principle by utilizing the specific geometric characteristics of radial distortion and parameter values of a polynomial correction model are obtained by solving linear equations on the basis of the actual slope of the distorted straight line. The fisheye image correction method outstandingly reduces the calculation complexity under the condition of having ideal correction accuracy and completes the position mapping codes between a distorted image and a corrected image according to the solved polynomial correction model by utilizing a run length coding LUT (Look Up Table), thereby realizing the weighting bilinear interpolation of the corrected image; and in addition, the fisheye image correction method has convenient hardware implementation and efficient real-time processing capacity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of image restoration in digital image processing, in particular to a method for correcting fisheye images with radial distortion. Background technique [0002] In order to obtain a larger viewing angle, fisheye lenses are widely used in many computer vision fields such as robot navigation, large-scale video surveillance, and intelligent transportation systems. However, while obtaining a wide range of shooting angles, the fisheye lens inevitably introduces image distortion to solve the problem of accommodating wide-angle target objects in a limited image area. The type of distortion involved in fisheye images is mainly radial distortion (barrel distortion), which is caused by the limited projection relationship from the target viewing angle to the two-dimensional imaging surface established by the optical system of the fisheye lens. [0003] For the correction of fisheye images with radial distortion, many l...
