Problems solved by technology

[0009] However, when using a conventional high-frequency sewing machine that sandwiches the material to be processed between a pair of electrode rollers and feeds it linearly in a certain direction, it cannot fully cope with the joining of curved parts and the joining of stretchable fabrics.
That is, the conventional high-frequency sewing machine using a pair of electrode rollers can be applied to the case where the overlapped part is bonded while linearly feeding a non-stretchable material such as a resin sheet. It is not applicable to the manufacturing and processing of clothing products with many curved parts and many elastic materials. It can be said that it is practically impossible to directly transfer the previous high-frequency sewing machine to fiber fabric bonding.

Abstract

In a high frequency sewing machine, feed dogs producing synthetic horizontal and vertical movements cooperate with a presser foot to intermittently transfer a workpiece mounted on a mounting plate. While the workpiece is not transferred, high frequency power having a predetermined value is applied between a pair of planar electrodes, so that a thermoplastic resin tape held between overlapped portions of a fiber cloth in the workpiece is melted under dielectric heating, thereby bonding together the overlapped portions of the fiber cloth. On the other hand, while the workpiece is transferred, high frequency power having a value smaller than while the workpiece is not transferred, is applied between the planar electrodes. This ensures uniform bonding strength, and also prevents occurrence of a defective portion, such as burn or a burn hole. Additionally, curved portions or stretchable fiber clothes can be satisfactorily and efficiently bonded together.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a high-frequency sewing machine suitable for use in the following situations: fabrics made of natural fibers represented by cotton, wool, silk, etc., or synthetic fibers represented by polyester, nylon, acrylic, etc. (hereinafter, (referred to as "fiber cloth" in the present invention) as the target material is produced by bonding (fusing) overlapping parts such as overlapping ends of the fiber cloth with a thermoplastic resin tape that is melted by high-frequency induction heating. Processing of clothing products (clothing) such as women's clothing, children's clothing, and men's clothing. [0002] As such a high-frequency sewing machine, the workpiece itself is, for example, a thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet such as polyvinyl chloride resin or a synthetic resin film, and techniques for fusing overlapped portions of such workpieces have been widely developed and put into practical use. This high-frequency sewing mac...
