Abstract

In an electronic blood pressure meter (1), a CPU (40) causes operation for an air leakage test to be performed when a predetermined operation is made at an operating section (3). The CPU uses a pump (21) to force air into a closed space in an arm band (5), said closed space comprising an airbag, an air pipe (10A), and an air pipe (10B), until the closed space reaches a predetermined pressure.
