Problems solved by technology

However, the frequencies of the individual clock generators are not synchronized, i.e. each clock generator operates at its own frequency, thus, as from figure 2 It can be seen that node 1 has a longer slot duration T than node 2 2 long first slot duration T 1 , but longer than node 3's slot duration T 3 short

Embodiment Construction

[0046] In the following description of the embodiments of the present invention, the same or similar elements are given the same reference numerals.

[0047] Before describing the embodiments of the invention in detail, refer to image 3 , image 3 shows the imperfect clock t as the subject clock drift i (t) Evolution of time t (slope of clock processing) and clock noise. exist image 3 , the ideal time is represented as line 104 . As can be seen, for an ideal local oscillator, the perfect clock of the local oscillator corresponds to the desired time in terms of seconds, e.g., after 5 seconds, the clock t i (t) also represents 5 seconds. However, no clock is perfect, as clock timing skew corrupts timers, and clock drift corrupts frequency, requiring periodic synchronization of oscillators. As can be seen from the line 106 representing the imperfect time due to offset and drift, the desired time does not correspond to the time represented by the clock. For example, as se...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a node in a wireless system, wherein the wireless system perform communication among the nodes through using transmitting / receiving time slots and the node comprises a receiving module, wherein the receiving module is configured to receive a synchronization signal from the transmitting node of the wireless system, and to obtain the time offset and the frequency offset between the clock generator of the transmitting node and the clock generator of the node; a time slot synchronization module of a clock generator, wherein the time slot synchronization module is configured to update the clock generator based on the obtained time offset and frequency offset; and a transmitting module configured to transmit data, wherein the time slot synchronization module is configured to set the time slot start of the time slot based on the obtained time offset and to set the time slot start of the next time slot based on the ontained frequency offset.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of network synchronization, and more specifically, to the field of decentralized network synchronization. Embodiments of the present invention consider frequency synchronization in such networks. Background technique [0002] In recent years, wireless communication between electronic devices has become increasingly popular and pervasive as many popular items have acquired wireless capabilities. One approach to such wireless communication between electronic devices is to organize the devices in an ad-hoc or peer-to-peer network (ie, in a decentralized network). [0003] figure 1 A schematic representation of an ad hoc network formed by a plurality of wireless devices MS communicating directly with each other as indicated by the arrows is shown. The ad hoc network is set up such that some wireless devices MS communicate directly with each other, while communications between distant wireless devi...
