Abstract

The invention discloses a device and method for realizing output power control of a power amplifier. The device is characterized in that: a peak value detector 1 and a peak value detector 2 respectively detect an output signal power and an input signal power of the power amplifier; the corresponding output and input power detection voltages are output to an AD (Analogue-to-Digital) converter together; the AD converter converts the output and input power detection voltages into the corresponding output and input power values and transmits the corresponding output and input power values to a power control module; and the power control module obtains an input signal power threshold value under the corresponding power grade according to expected powers under various power grades of a power amplifier and the output and input power values, and controls an output power of the power amplifier in the known power amplifier state.
