Abstract

The invention relates to a provisional planting method for an anti-season arbor in an arid region. The provisional method comprises the steps of: selecting nursery stocks, digging soil balls and provisionally planting trees and the like. With adoption of the method which is implemented in an afforested provisional planting field in Wulumuqi Eurasia Expo park, people can observe from the provisional planting process of upright apple trees that from lifting in spring to planting the nursery stocks, the nursery stocks grow well in the provisional planting period and the increment of new branchesreaches about 11cm in average, maximum 30cm above. For long-branch elm which is provisionally planted, the increment of new branches reaches about 40cm in average, maximum 110cm above. Provisional planting is significant to ensure survival of the nursery stocks. According to the method, the survival rate of trees in a transplanting process of anti-season trees in the arid region can be increased.
