Abstract

The invention discloses a method for overcoming distant hybridization obstruction of s poplar, in particular a method for processing a female parent pistil stigma in hybridization parents, which comprises the following steps of: (1) fumigating the pistil stigma of the female parent by volatile gas of normal hexane; and (2) coating aqueous extract solution of pollen of the female parent on the pistil stigma of the female parent processed through the step (1), wherein the female parent is a populus poplar, and the aqueous extract solution of the pollen is liquid which is obtained by extracting the pollen of the female parent through water and does not contain pollen grains. Due to the utilization of the method, incompatibility of hybridization between poplar sections or intro-sections can be effectively overcome, and particularly, the hybridization obstruction of poplar of white poplar section and populus aigeiros is effectively overcome. The experimental results show that the hybridization seeds obtained through the method has high maturing rate and good plumpness, the germination percentage of the seeds is more than 70 percent, and a new way is provided for obtaining an excellent hybridal clone for distant hybridization of the poplar.
