The invention discloses a PeHB7
gene related to salt tolerance of poplar, a
protein, a recombinant vector, a host

plant molecular biology. The
nucleotide sequence of the PeHB7
gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. The HD-Zip I
subfamily gene PeHB7 gene related to salt tolerance is cloned from
populus euphratica for the first time, the
nucleotide sequence, the coded
protein structure and the salt tolerance function of the gene PeHB7 gene are defined, poplar HD-Zip
gene family research resources are enriched, and a key
candidate gene is provided for analyzing a poplar salt tolerance
molecular mechanism. The salt tolerance of the obtained transgenic
plant can be remarkably improved under the high-salt condition through the ways of maintaining
cell membrane integrity, reducing MDA and ROS accumulation, maintaining photosynthetic function stability and the like, and the growth state of the transgenic
plant is far superior to that of a
wild type. The PeHB7 gene and the related technology provided by the invention are simple and convenient to operate and high in efficiency, can be directly applied to salt-tolerant
molecular breeding of the poplar and cultivation of a new salt-tolerant poplar variety, provide excellent
germplasm for
afforestation of the poplar in
saline-
alkali soil, and have theoretical significance and practical value.
