Abstract

The invention relates to a dust detection technology, and aims at providing a dust concentration detecting method and a dust concentration detector with gas velocity compensation. The dust concentration detecting method comprises a calibrating step and a measuring step. The calibrating step comprises the following sub-steps of: respectively recording signal strengths transmitted by a dust detection probe under different gas flow velocities, respectively measuring by using a weighing device so as to obtain dust concentrations at corresponding moments; and determining a coefficient and inputting the coefficient into a programmable controller. The measuring step comprises the following sub-steps of: obtaining the signal strengths and gas flow velocities of a dust instrument from the dust detection probe and a gas flowmeter respectively; and obtaining the dust concentration in the measuring process through the programmable controller, and transmitting final data of the dust concentration to a display device. According to the dust concentration detecting method and the dust concentration detector, disclosed by the invention, the influences of the gas flow velocities on the dust concentration are considered, so that the precision of detecting the dust concentration is largely improved in the occasions that the gas flow velocity is changed largely.
