Abstract

The invention discloses a fault point positioning method for intelligent distribution lines. Each of the distribution lines is divided into multiple sections, a distribution pillar of each section of each of the distribution lines is provided with a distribution pillar switch data feeder terminal unit (FTU) for detecting fault electric currents in the section of the distribution lines, and a distribution system is further provided with data remote terminal units (RTUs) for a transformer substation and data terminal units (DTUs) for a switching station and a ring main unit. When a distribution line fault occurs, a fault electric current is detected by RTUs, FTUs and DTUs from a bus to a fault point, RTUs, FTUs and DTUs outside the fault point can't detect the fault electric current, the fault electric current is zero, and fault points can be accurately detected according to the characteristic. The fault point positioning method for the intelligent distribution lines has the advantages of being capable of rapidly and accurately positioning the fault points of the distribution lines and improving functional reliability of the distribution lines and the like.
