Abstract

The invention discloses a controller structure of signal processing hardware in a novel data stream DSP (digital signal processor). The controller structure is mainly an input-output control group consisting of an algorithmic logic extension automaton (algorithmic FSM) and consists of an extension automaton unit; the condition of state transition can be an algorithmic logic expression; and an output is also the result of the algorithmic logic expression. The extension automaton unit comprises: (1) all selectors, (2) all operators (OP1, ..., OPn), (3) all comparators (CMP1, ..., CMPk), and (4) a logic operator. All the units can be reconstructed. The automaton unit is specially designed for the hardware programming of a bottom layer and is subjected to optimization design aiming at a typical image and a video processing algorithm. The controller structure has extremely high execution efficiency.
