The liquid crystal display panel (8) comprises a CF substrate (82), a TFT substrate (84) affixedly arranged with the CF substrate (82), and, an upper polarizing film (86) and a lower polarizing film (88) respectively affixed onto the CF substrate (82) and onto the TFT substrate (84). The lower polarizing film (88) directly forms protruding parts (3) respectively on non-display areas at the upper and lower ends of the liquid crystal display panel (8).
