The parameter adaptability testing method for the PSS of the grid system comprises the following steps of: carrying out dynamic modeling on a multi-machine power system; calculating a full-dimensional characteristic value of the system; testing the sensitivity of the characteristic value to a PSS gain coefficient; determining the optimal value of a PSS phase shifting link by using a characteristic value sensitivity variation curve; and testing the adaptability of the parameter of the PSS.
