Abstract

The invention relates to a high- or medium-voltage electrical device (1) including an active induction portion (4), a vessel (3) surrounding the active portion and filled with a dielectric fluid, such as oil, and passive means (2, 20) for reducing the noise of the waves originating from the active portion and propagated in the dielectric fluid. According to the invention, the passive means create an interference field by dividing the propagated waves into two wave groups (01, 02) of opposite phase from one another in an area distant from the walls of the vessel so as to at least limit the amplitude thereof prior to contact therewith. The invention is an effective solution for significantly reducing the part of the noise propagated by the dielectric fluid medium.
