The invention discloses an alternating current transmission diesel locomotive which comprises a frame, a traction motor positioned at a bogie, and a cab positioned at the end part of the locomotive, wherein the number of teeth of a speed measuring fluted disc of the traction motor is 120-192; the adhesive utilization ratio of the locomotive is high; the modular cab is elastically connected with a locomotive body, so that vibration of the cab due to unsmooth lines is reduced; the sound-proof effect of the cab is improved; an anti-collision and anti-creep device can protect a steel structure of the cab and reduce hurts to a driver to the full extent; the frame adopts a structure of a left side beam, a right side beam and a middle communicated longitudinal beam; the middle beam bears partial longitudinal and vertical loads to reduce stress concentration at a traction beam and a side bearing and improve the overall strength and rigidity of the frame; the thicknesses of a traction beam stand plate and a web plate are increased; the curvature radius of a traction beam web plate is increased to improve the rigidity of the traction beam and reduce the stress concentration of the traction beam; and the locomotive body of the locomotive can bear a 4450kN longitudinal compression force, while the locomotive body of the locomotive at the same level at home only bears a 3000kN longitudinal compression force at most.
