The resistance testing device comprises a power part, a towing cable, a fixing part and a measuring and controlling part, wherein the power part comprises a support frame arranged on a dock pond wall, a motor, a rotating speed and torque measuring instrument and a driving wheel; the motor is connected with the rotating speed and torque measuring instrument through a primary shaft coupling; the rotating speed and torque measuring instrument is connected with the driving wheel through a secondary shaft coupling; the fixing part comprises a fixing frame and a driven wheel arranged on the fixing frame; the fixing frame is arranged on an end wall of a tow truck; the towing cable is wound on the driving wheel and the driven wheel respectively, so that towing of the ship model is realized; and the measuring and controlling part comprises a motor controller which is connected with the motor, a data acquisition unit which is connected with the rotating speed and torque measuring instrument, and a control computer.
