Abstract

The invention discloses a communication method of a machine-type communication (MTC) terminal. The communication method of the MTC terminal comprises that the MTC terminal reports MTC terminal information to a center control node; and the center control node forms a corresponding non-access layer signal according to the MTC terminal information, and sends the non-access layer signal to a core network node. The communication method of the MTC terminal has the advantages of reducing complexity of the design of the MTC terminal, saving expenses of an air interface resource which is used for starting a non-access stratum (NAS) signal, wherein the air interface resource is relevant to the MTC terminal, thereby reducing energy consumption of the MTC terminal, and creating conditions for deployment of MTC services. In addition, the invention further discloses a communication system and the center control node of the MTC terminal.
