Embodiment Construction

[0030] Now, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail. As should be noted in this application, when the term "distal part / end" is used, this refers to the part / end of the delivery device or its components which is located furthest from the drug delivery site of the patient. Accordingly, when the term "proximal portion / proximal end" is used, this refers to the portion / end of the delivery device or a component thereof that is located closest to the drug delivery site of the patient.

[0031] According to a main aspect of the present invention, it relates to a container holder assembly for use in a drug delivery device, the container holder assembly comprising a tubular body extending in axial direction, said tubular body having a proximal end and an opposite distal end. A retaining member is releasably arranged to the tubular body for securing an elongated container placed within the tubular body. The retaining member comprises a resilient structure cap...

Abstract

Container holder assembly for use in a medicament delivery device, comprising a tubular body elongated in an axial direction, said tubular body having a proximal end and an opposite distal end, and a retaining member releasably arranged to said tubular body for securing an elongated container placed inside the tubular body, wherein said retaining member comprises a resilient structure capable of exerting an axial force on said container in said tubular body for holding the container in a fixed position inside the tubular body so as to avoid replacement or damage of a container, and wherein a remote end of the container protrudes the remote end of the tubular body.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a cartridge assembly for a drug delivery device, and in particular to a cartridge assembly that enables safety through the interaction of a cartridge, a cartridge holder and a cartridge retainer. Cartridge assembly with improved performance and handling. Background technique [0002] Drug delivery devices such as syringes are usually arranged with a container holder to allow manipulation on the container, for example displacement within the syringe housing during skin piercing, expulsion of drug by causing a plunger to act on a stop in the container, use needle to pierce the septum and replace the container. Due to tolerances, the dimensions of the manufactured containers vary, which can lead to a somewhat affected position of the container in the holder during operation of the device. Displacement of the container can occur, for example, by piercing the septum of the container with a needle, or by a sudden impact for...
