Abstract

Provided is a fan control system. The fan control system comprises a control center, a plurality of servers, a fan control unit and fan modules. Each server comprises a heat source monitoring unit. The control center is connected with the heat source monitoring units in the servers and converts temperature information of each server into fan input control information which is transmitted back to the heat source monitoring units. Each fan module comprises a plurality of fans used for dissipating heat of the servers. The fan control unit can receive the fan input control information through the heat source monitoring units and control the rotating speeds of the fans in the fan modules. The fan control unit is used for obtaining fan output information of the fans in the fan modules and judging whether the fans work normally by comparing the fan output information with the fan input control information. The fan control system can dynamically control the rotating speeds of the fans according to the actual temperature of a heat source, thereby improving power supply efficiency and lowering energy consumption.
