A system (106) for visualizing image registration maps in an intuitive and interactive manner. The system (106) includes a display (110) and one or more processors (116). The processor (116) is programmed to receive a first image and a second image and obtain an image registration map from the first image to the second image. Additionally, the processor (116) is programmed to display the first image adjacent to the second image on the display (110) and obtain one or more reference image positions. Each said reference image location is defined in a coordinate system of one of said first image and said second image.
