Abstract

The method involves providing a container housing (12) having a wall (36) and openings (38,40) at the ends (39,41) in a web wall (34). A domed cover (14) and a domed base (16) are provided with a cover connecting edge (18) and a bottom connecting edge (22) respectively. The grooves (44a,44b) are formed at the openings in the web wall by stamping of the material of the web wall without cutting. The cover and bottom connecting edges are inserted into the grooves. The domed cover and base are attached in the region of the ends for pressure-tight sealing of the container housing. An independent claim is included for a pressure container.
