Abstract

The invention discloses a brush motor commutator and a forming method thereof. The commutator comprises an electrically-insulating basal body and a plurality of commutator segments which are circumferentially distributed on the outer surface of the basal body in a spaced manner. The forming method of the commutator comprises a step of setting a plurality of electrically-insulating gas release components. Each gas release component has a gas release surface between two adjacent commutator segments, and a gas with an electrical conductivity less than the air can be released from the gas release surfaces. The gas release surfaces are lower than the outer surfaces of the commutator segments, so that a diffusion space is formed by the gas release surfaces and the two opposite side walls of two adjacent commutator segments. The gas released from the gas release components is diffused along the diffusion space, so as to inhibit sparking on the commutator and lower the abrasion of the sparkling on the brush and the commutator segments.
