Abstract

The Mn-Cu based damping alloy consists of the following ingredients in percent by weight: 70-80% of Mn, 10-20% of Cu, 5-10% of Al, 1-5% of Fe, 1-5% of Zn and 0.2-0.5% of Th. The preparing method comprises the following steps: putting raw materials in a vacuum induction furnace, melting, and heating to 1400-1500 DEG C to form melt alloy; fully agitating the melt alloy at the temperature for ten minutes, and casting into a corresponding casting; carrying out 50% thermal forging deformation on the obtained casting at a temperature from 700 DEG C to 800DEG C, then annealing at the temperature of 700DEG C for 2 hours, putting in a thermal treatment furnace of 350DEG C, preserving heat for 1 hour and taking out to obtain the Mn-Cu based damping alloy.
