Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus and method for testing the off-line performance of a magnetostrictive displacement sensor. According to the testing apparatus, a magnet ring unit (1) is fixed installed at the top of an upper support rod (23); a universal joint assembly (7) is fixedly installed at the lower portion of a lower support rod (24); an installing support frame (6) is inserted into an installing buckle (3) arranged in front of an electronic ruler (5); and the electronic ruler is fixedly installed at a work bench (14) by a positioning bolt (4). An air cylinder (10) is installed below the work bench by a cylinder fixed support frame (11); an air cylinder piston output shaft (8) is connected with the universal joint assembly; and the air cylinder drives the lower support rod to make linear motion. A detected magnetostrictive displacement sensor (21) is installed at a sensor installing support frame (19); the displacement sensor is connected to a current display (16) by a data transmission cable (17); and a long rod of the displacement sensor passes through the magnet ring unit (1).
