Problems solved by technology

For injection valves, such as are used, for example, on stationary engines, or for so-called range extensions in electrically driven vehicles, the known injection valves are therefore too expensive and therefore too cost-intensive

Embodiment Construction

[0019] figure 1 The fuel injection valve according to the invention is shown in a longitudinal section in which only the main parts of the fuel injection valve are shown. The fuel injector 1 has a nozzle body 12 in which a pressure chamber 11 is formed with a nozzle needle 10 arranged displaceably therein. The lower end of the nozzle needle 10 facing the combustion chamber is designed as a valve sealing surface 13 and cooperates with a conical valve seat 14 formed on the end of the nozzle body 12 on the combustion chamber side. The valve sealing surface 13 is designed as a double cone and thus forms a sealing edge between the two cone surfaces, by means of which the nozzle needle 10 rests on the valve seat 14 . Arranged behind the valve seat 14 are several injection ports 15 configured in the nozzle body 12, through which fuel can finally be charged into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The input of fuel under high pressure goes through the figure 1...

Abstract

The invention relates to a fuel injection valve with a nozzle needle (10) to which the pressure in a control chamber (22) is at least indirectly applied in a closing direction. The control chamber (22) can be filled with highly pressurized fuel. The fuel injection valve is equipped with a control valve (3) which opens or closes a connection to a low-pressure chamber (25) in the fuel injection valve, said control valve (22) comprising a movable control valve element (4). A connection of the control chamber (22) to the low-pressure chamber (25) is formed by a valve chamber (20) in the fuel injection valve. The valve chamber (20) is hydraulically connected to the control chamber (22) via a throttle connection (23), and the valve chamber (20) can be connected to the low-pressure chamber (25) via the control valve (3). Furthermore, a pressure pin (30) is provided which protrudes through the valve chamber (20) into the control chamber (22). A hydraulic pressure is applied to the pressure pin (30) by the pressure in the control chamber (22), and an opening force is thereby exerted on the control valve element (4).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine, preferably having application for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. Background technique [0002] Various fuel injection valves are known from the background art for internal combustion engines, preferably for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of a self-ignition internal combustion engine. A fuel injection valve is thus known from patent application DE 100 24 702 A1 which comprises a nozzle needle arranged longitudinally displaceably in a nozzle body. Therein the valve needle opens and closes a plurality of nozzle openings and connects them or seals them against a pressure chamber surrounding the nozzle needle. To control the longitudinal movement of the nozzle needle, the fuel pressure is adjusted in a control chamber bounded by the nozzle needle, wherein the pressure in the control cha...
