A large journal bearing clearance measurement tool for a marine diesel engine comprises a bearing clearance measurement gauge and a gauge, wherein the bearing clearance measurement gauge comprises a measuring head, a connecting rod, a pipe clamp and a dial indicator, the measuring head is inserted into the connecting rod and can freely slide, the connecting rod is connected with the pipe clamp, the dial indicator is clamped and fixed to the pipe clamp, the position of the dial indicator can be adjusted, and the ends of the dial indictor make contact with the tail of the measuring head; a connecting rod inserting hole and a measuring head inserting hole are formed in the gauge, the bearing clearance measurement gauge penetrates through the connecting rod inserting hole and the measuring head inserting hole, and the connecting rod inserting hole and the measuring head inserting hole are coaxial, the diameter of the measuring head inserting hole is smaller than that of the connecting rod inserting hole, the gauge is further provided with a zero-position reference face making contact with the measuring head and a zero correcting face abutting against the connecting rod, the zero correcting face and the zero-position reference face are perpendicular to the connecting rod inserting hole, and the distance between the zero correcting face and the zero-position reference face is standard zero-position correction distance.
